Pyrmont Festival serves up days of bevs, food & art as it returns for 10th anniversary event


MEDIA RELEASE: Headline Event Kicks Off 28 May And Ongoing Festival Runs Until 18 June

Sydney’s favourite lifestyle event returns for its 10th year! The can’t miss Pyrmont Festival will bring together the very best food, wine and art offerings to celebrate NSW’s vibrant culinary culture. Today, the full program of celebrations is announced for the annual event running from 28 May - 18 June.


Over 20,000 attendees are expected to kick off the festival at the family friendly 2-day headline event at Pirrama Park on the 28-29 May and bring the best of NSW to the big city. Participants can continue to experience and celebrate all things food & wine through a curated ongoing program until 18 June.

“We’re thrilled to deliver another fully packed program that brings the best of NSW together and allows us to toast the talented artists, winemakers, chefs and everyone in between through our annual festival,” says Pyrmont Festival Director Alex Gibbs.

Headline Event

Spearheading the 21-day festival is the return of the family friendly, two-day highlight event in Pirrama Park on 28 and 29 May.

With stunning harbour views, patrons can experience award-winning wines from winemakers including Slow Wine Co, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, Rowlee Wines, Swinging Bridge, Highland Heritage, Leogate Estate Wines, Glandore Estate Wines, Petersons, Quilty & Gransden, See Saw, Savannah Estate, Gilbert Family Wines and Wine Selectors who each bring their own distinct growing and fermentation processes resulting in an exceptional range of varieties for all taste levels.

More of a beer drinker? Sip on pale ales, hoppy IPAs and seasonal brews from award-winning Pioneer
Brewing Co. Pyrmont also has you covered on the hard stuff with, hand-crafted cocktails from Discerning Drinks Co, Buffalo Vale Distillery, Brookie’s Byron Gin and more. Family owned Jones & Smith Distillery will serve up their small batch creations and debut their new high-end whiskey at the 2-day affair.

Take your bevies and grab yourself some oysters at this year’s Oyster Bar run by locals from the Sydney Fish Market. Event-goers will also be able to eat their way through the state, sampling artisanal produce and feasting from food truck favorites such as Piggy & Moo, 4Mates, ELS FRIED CHICKEN, Let’s do Yum Cha and Agape Organic Food. Lucio Pizzeria will also set up a Pizza Bar.

Grab yourself some cheese from the Vanella Cheese stand, olives from The Really Stuffed Olive Co, salami from Goose on the Loose and you have yourself a gourmet treat overlooking the water.

With art classes, live music, and a Kid Zone equipped with a jumping castle, face painting and fairy floss there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy!

through to June 18. Filled with daily wine tastings at Porters Liquor, wine discovery classes led by premier wine gurus, cooking courses from Sydney Seafood School and a luxe festival after party to pay homage to a decade of Pyrmont Festival fun.
